The Moonglow Juniper is as enchanting as its name.

Its mesmerizing colors, adaptability and hardiness make it an incredibly versatile tree that will light up any space in your garden…

  • Dazzling blue foliage – as its name suggests, the shiny blue needles reflect the glow of moonlight in a silvery display.
  • Totally adaptable – dense growth habit and easily trained branches make it an excellent protective barrier.
  • Completely mess-free – doesn’t shed its needles or produce any litter at all and deer stay away from the dense foliage

Not many trees can boast an evening show, so just imagine how magical a Moonglow Juniper would look in your yard, day or night.

Through every season, your Moonglow Juniper will look exactly the same – gorgeous Rocky Mountain pyramidal Juniper with cool, silvery needles on dense upward forming branches.

The Moonglow Juniper will grow and thrive in nearly every soil type from coast to coast – cold hardy down to -30 and adaptable to acidic or alkaline soils.

Growing naturally to 10-15 ft. high and 4-6 ft. wide, or pruned to a smaller shape, you can create an exceptional and versatile border for your garden or yard

Requires no maintenance at all. With just a little attention to the health of the branches, your Moonglow will grow pest-free, disease-free and perfectly healthy and hydrated.

Planting & Care

Plant your Moonglow Juniper in well-draining soil and in a spot that receives full sun. Place in a hole twice as wide and just as deep as the root ball. There’s no need to amend the soil, but do add a thick layer of mulch around the base of the tree for pest and weed prevention.

Watering: Make sure your Moonglow Juniper receives one inch of water each week during its first 2 years. Rain is usually enough to keep it hydrated, but you’ll need to water the establishing tree if you experience a period of drought. After it’s established, there’s no need to water your Juniper.

Maintenance: Prune away any dead or diseased branches as needed. You can perform additional pruning for shape and size if desired. Keep an eye out for caterpillars and remove any branches that have been affected by them. Re-mulch with organic mulch every spring to keep your tree pest free. Cover your tree during periods of heavy ice lasting more than 2 days.
